COLBY KMM KID MODELS CHOSEN FOR BENETTON CASTING

United Colors of BenettonTHE IT FACTOR PRODUCTIONS CONGRATULATES THE COLBY KMM MODELS WHO WERE CHOSEN

The It Factor Productions’ commercial print modeling division of Colby KMM has been booking some pretty big jobs recently – among them,Benetton requested to see some of our Colby KMM kids who qualified for its modeling casting.  The kid models picked to audition for the job were: Caiden S., Elizabeth M., Ayden H., Camdon S., Kayla Z. and last, but not least, Cameryn R.

THE IT FACTOR PRODUCTIONS TIP: KNOW YOUR MODELING CLIENTS

Before you show up for a modeling gig or an acting audition, you need to do research on that client. You should know about their company, their image, and what they might be trying to convey with this particular modeling project. Doing this type of research will help you be a better model and land jobs with clients.  Here is some information you would look up with you were going to a modeling audition for Benetton:

United Colors of BenettonBenetton is a global fashion brand, based in Treviso, Italy. The name comes from the Benetton family who founded the company in 1965. Benetton Group is listed in Milan. Benetton has a network of over 6,500 stores in 120 countries. The stores are managed by independent partners and generate a total turnover of over 2 billion euro.

The company’s core business remains their clothing lines: United Colors of Benetton, Undercolors of Benetton, Sisley, and Playlife. Their products include womenswear, menswear, childrenswear and underwear, and they have expanded into perfumes, stationery, eyewear and travel bags.

The company is known for sponsorship of a number of sports, and for the provocative and original “United Colors” publicity campaign. The latter originated when photographer Oliviero Toscani was given carte blanche by the Benetton management. Under Toscani’s direction, ads were created that contained striking images unrelated to any actual products being sold by the company.

COLBY KMM MODELS SPOTTED AT FASHION WEEK TO SHOOT FOR SEVENTEEN

THE IT FACTOR PRODUCTIONS’ NICOLE C AND MIA C WERE NOTICED AT NYC FASHION WEEK

Professionalism is truly key to obtaining opportunities as a model. Ryan Colby at The It Factor Productions just received a wonderful letter from the Director of Starbaby Enterprises. Here it is:

Dear Ryan Colby and Colby Models,

We recently had a fashion show during fashion week and worked with a lot of models from your agency. We were very impressed by their professionalism and would like to work with two of your models for an upcoming impromptu photoshoot we are doing this weekend for Janique in Seventeen magazine – Prom.

We are interested in hiring both Nicole C and Mia for the photoshoot…

Thanks,

J

Everyone at Colby Models and The It Factor Productions is so excited for Mia and Nicole and can wait to see the outcome of their modeling job for Seventeen Magazine Prom Edition. Possibly one of them will make the cover! At Colby KMM we always remind our models that modeling is so much more than looks. Here are some tips on professionalism as a modeling that may help you score that next big job.

THE IT FACTOR PRODUCTIONS’ TOP TIPS ON PROFESSIONALISM FOR MODELING JOBS

Leave 30 minutes early for every casting, audition, or booking appointment, meaning add 30 minutes to your expected travel time. This will most likely get you there early; you can use the time to prepare yourself. If you run into delays on your route, hopefully the extra travel time will be sufficient to keep you on time for your modeling job.

Organize your life. Make sure you always know where your modeling portfolio and comp cards are and other necessary items needed for your casting or audition, so you are not scrambling for misplaced items moments before leaving for the photoshoot or audition. Keep a datebook calendar handy, and use smartphone apps with push notifications, so you are forced to view your appointments.

Keep an “audition survival bag.” This could be a knapsack, purse, or briefcase. Here is a list of suggested items to keep in your bag: headshots and résumés, business cards, a MetroCard, paper and a pen, makeup, a hairbrush, bottled water, breath mints, and an energy bar, and hide $10 or $20 inside just in case. This way you only have to remember your keys and cell phone; just grab your audition bag, and go.
